Victory Against Cancer Foundation (VACF) 
is the nongovernmental organization registration number ooNGO/0008821 . With   the objectives of promoting good health in the community and fighting against cancer incidence in Tanzania.
Basically the foundation focuses on cervical cancer, breast cancer, cancer in children (pediatric cancer), and conduction of various community health screening for non communicable diseases in the rural communities periodically and taking majors to clients that are screened positive.
 

Objectives

  •   To promote good health status of cancer patients.

  • To raise awareness on how to access local services and resources available in the community pertaining  cancer prevention

  •     Facilitate the identification and integration of cancer patients in the community

             
Partnership
The foundation welcomes national and international organization to have partnership with the VACF in order to efficiently meet its objectives to the community

Cancer is the term used to describe abnormal cellular division where cells divide without responding to the body’s normal mechanism of control such as apoptosis   or programmed cell death . this is due to damage or mutation of cellular genetic material in the DNA and failure of cellular repair mechanism to repair or destroy   such mutations. During the world's women day the Vacf team conducted community health screening on DM and blood pressure  at Misigaro dispensary in Mwanza city.
